The View Through the Window Across From Room 232, Philly City Hall

Philadelphia's City Hall is a fascinating building, inside and out. Here's the view from the window across from Courtroom 232:



And as a bonus, here's the view through one of the massive archways. I believe this is south down Market Street:

I heard it was designed this way hundreds of yeas ago to defend itself from New Jersey indians who usually arrived half-way reduced in numbers since most couldn't drive a horse properly, crashed and died.

Hence the keep-like shapes an overlapping fields of fire from windows and since only the surviving handful of Jersey Indians would limp to the building, no front doors.

Rocks and chickens would see the survivors off.
